Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold7 at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on July 9, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7. This marks Samsung’s most advanced foldable yet and the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Fold device to date.
The Fold 7 brings several upgrades over its predecessor, including a more refined design, an even larger display, and cutting-edge AI-powered features that aim to elevate productivity and user experience.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 features a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x cover display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, offering better usability when folded.
Upon unfolding, users are greeted with a stunning 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x main display, which is 11% larger than the previous generation and offers peak brightness up to 2,600 nits. This makes it ideal for outdoor use and media consumption.
Samsung has improved the durability of the device with Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) that’s now 50% thicker, while the hinge and frame are reinforced with Armour Aluminium, making the phone tougher and more resistant to wear and tear.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, optimized for AI-driven performance.
Whether it’s multitasking, gaming, or using real-time AI tools like translation or image editing, the Fold 7 delivers a smoother and faster experience. The NPU (Neural Processing Unit) is significantly improved for handling on-device AI tasks.
This is the first Fold series device to include a 200MP wide-angle main camera, setting a new benchmark for photography on foldables.
Its AI-backed ProVisual Engine enhances color accuracy, low-light photography, and video clarity. Night Video mode and 10-bit HDR allow users to capture cinema-quality videos even in low light.
It also features a 10MP front wide camera, ideal for selfies and video calls.
Running on One UI 8 based on Android 16, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is loaded with AI tools built right into the system.
Features like Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and multimodal interactions allow users to speak, draw, or type to perform tasks seamlessly. With AI-powered Drawing Assist and Writing Assist, content creation and multitasking are faster and more intuitive than ever.
The pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 starts at ₹1,74,999 for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, ₹1,86,999 for 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and ₹2,10,999 for the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant.
The phones will be available online at Samsung’s website, e-commerce sites like Flipkart and Amazon, along with offline stores, in total four colours: Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jet Black, and an online-exclusive Mint color on the Samsung website only.
Buyers will get access to Samsung Care+, which includes protection against accidental damage, and six months of Google AI Pro access along with 2TB of cloud storage through Samsung’s New Galaxy Club program.
