Google is reportedly preparing to launch its most advanced foldable yet, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with major leaks revealing key specifications and design upgrades.

The device is expected to launch later this year in the last week of August, marking a bold move by Google in the competitive foldable smartphone segment.

One of the biggest highlights of the leak is the IP68 rating, making it water and dust resistant. It’s a significant step up from previous Pixel Fold models and even Samsung’s upcoming foldable.

If accurate, this could make the Pixel 10 Pro Fold the first foldable smartphone to be fully dust- and water-resistant, aligning it with flagship durability standards.

According to a report by Tom’s Guide, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset, Google’s custom SoC built on TSMC’s 3nm process, which promises better efficiency and performance.

The device is rumoured to include 16GB of RAM, a larger battery than the previous Pixel Fold, and dual OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate.

As per 9to5Google, the core specs may seem familiar, but minor refinements in performance and software tuning are expected to offer a noticeably smoother experience.

In addition to performance, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will focus on aesthetic refinements. A report from Android Headlines showcases upcoming abstract-themed live wallpapers exclusive to the new Pixel lineup. These are said to reflect the device’s sleek foldable form and Google’s evolving design language.

Google’s aggressive push with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, featuring flagship specs, improved durability, and a refreshed visual identity, suggests a more serious bid to challenge Samsung’s dominance in the foldable space.

The launch date of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be 20th August, but many reports are saying it will be announcement day, while the official release will be a month later.

While these details are yet to be officially confirmed, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold appears to be Google’s most refined foldable yet. If leaks hold true, it could redefine durability and performance standards in foldable smartphones.
