Poco has started teasing the launch of a new smartphone in India through its official website and Flipkart. Although the name hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, multiple leaks suggest that the upcoming device will be the Poco M7 Plus.
Aimed at delivering a performance and battery upgrade over its predecessor, the Poco M6 Plus, this new device is likely to target the budget mid-range segment.
A dedicated teaser microsite on Flipkart and Poco India’s website showcases the phone’s rear panel in a sleek black finish with a dual rear camera setup.
The tagline “Power for All” hints at a major battery upgrade. According to a report by 91Mobiles Hindi, the smartphone could launch in India on August 13, and is expected to be priced under Rs. 15,000.
Leaked information points toward some noteworthy upgrades. The Poco M7 Plus is expected to feature a 6.9-inch display with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, promising a smoother experience for gaming and scrolling.
Under the hood, it may run on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, offering a balance of power efficiency and performance.
The camera setup is said to include a 50MP primary rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
One of the biggest highlights is the rumored 7,000mAh battery, supported by 33W fast charging, which could make it a top choice for heavy users.
For reference, the Poco M6 Plus, launched last year at Rs. 13,499, came with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE chipset, a 6.79-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, and a 108MP main camera.
While the M6 Plus focused more on camera specs, the M7 Plus seems geared towards battery and display upgrades.
While Poco hasn’t officially confirmed the name or specs, leaks suggest that the M7 Plus will bring a bigger battery, smoother display, and solid performance, all under a competitive price tag. If confirmed, it could be a major contender in the under-15K smartphone market in India.
