Panasonic has expanded its LUMIX S Series lineup with the launch of two new full-frame mirrorless cameras, LUMIX S1II and LUMIX S1IIE, aimed at professional photographers and videographers.

Panasonic LUMIX S1 II

The LUMIX S1II features a 24.1MP full-frame partially stacked CMOS sensor paired with Panasonic’s Venus Engine for advanced image processing. It supports 5.1K video at 60 fps, 4K at 120 fps, and 5.8K at 60 fps recording.

In V-Log, it delivers up to 15 stops of dynamic range for frame rates under 30 fps. The camera supports blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 70 fps in SH and SH PRE modes. Open Gate video is available at 5.1K/60 fps.

Panasonic has also announced an upcoming firmware update to add multiple frame-marker display support.

Panasonic LUMIX S1 IIE

The LUMIX S1IIE comes with a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor derived from the LUMIX S5II. It supports 6K Open Gate recording at 30 fps and offers a 2.4:1 widescreen aspect ratio at up to 60 fps without cropping.

In V-Log, it provides over 14 stops of dynamic range. Continuous shooting with the electronic shutter reaches 30 fps, while the mechanical shutter allows up to 10 fps, both without viewfinder blackout. Open Gate recording at 6K/30 fps enables flexible reframing during post-production.
