Samsung is gearing up to roll out the One UI 8 beta update to more devices starting next week. After debuting the stable version of One UI 8 with its 2025 foldables earlier this year, the South Korean tech giant is now extending the beta program to several flagship devices launched in 2024.
Starting next week, Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 users in India, the US, UK, and South Korea will be able to sign up for the beta via the Samsung Members app. This gives users early access to upcoming features and the chance to provide valuable feedback before the stable release.
It’s important to note that this rollout is specifically for the beta version of One UI 8. The stable release is expected to arrive in September, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series, and will later expand to other eligible models in phases.
As for older Galaxy devices, Samsung plans to include them in the One UI 8 beta program starting in September. This includes:
- Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5
- Galaxy A36
- Galaxy A55, A35, and A54
The inclusion of the Galaxy A36 has raised some eyebrows, as there’s no mention of the A56. However, this list has been sourced from a global press release, so it’s not a regional discrepancy.
Also, Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the S FE devices separately, but since the S24 FE is part of the testing, it’s assumed other FE models are included under the S-series.
On the Galaxy Watch front, the Galaxy Watch Ultra has already received the stable One UI 8 Watch update. The Galaxy Watch7, interestingly, is still undergoing beta testing.
Samsung also confirmed that One UI 8 Watch will extend to more Galaxy Watch models beyond the Watch8 lineup later this year.
