HMD Global, the company known for reviving the Nokia brand, has launched the HMD T21 tablet in India. Interestingly, this is the same tablet that debuted globally in 2023 as the Nokia T21.
The rebranded model retains the same core specifications but now carries the HMD branding, reflecting the company’s shift toward building its own identity in the tech space.
The HMD T21 features a 10.36-inch 2K (2000 x 1200 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a 5:3 aspect ratio and up to 400 nits of brightness. The display is protected by toughened glass, suitable for daily wear and tear.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a 1.82GHz UNISOC T612 Octa-Core processor with Mali-G57 GPU, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.
The tablet runs on Android 13 out of the box, with an upgrade to Android 14 already rolling out. It comes with an 8MP front and rear camera setup, stereo speakers with OZO Audio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, and dual microphones, making it a versatile device for both media consumption and video calls.
Built for rugged use, the T21 features an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. It includes Hybrid Dual SIM slots with 4G LTE support, allowing for voice calling and SMS. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and GPS + GLONASS.
Fueling the device is a massive 8200mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging. While the company highlights 15W support, the included fast charging ensures long sessions of use, be it for work or binge-watching.
The HMD T21 is available in Black Steel color and is priced at ₹15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. However, buyers can grab it for a special launch price of ₹14,499 exclusively from HMD.com starting Thursday, 17th July 2025.
According to Ravi Kunwar, VP and CEO of HMD India and APAC, the T21 marks the brand’s second exclusive product available on HMD.com, following the Barbie feature phone launch.
The company aims to strengthen its direct-to-consumer journey by offering easy and direct access to its latest devices, backed by a more personal experience for buyers.
