With a starting price of ₹17,999, the Motorola G96 5G smartphone will be on sale from 18th July on Flipkart. Moto G96 brings a 144Hz 3D curved pOLED display, and many other flagship features at a mid-range price.
And honestly? It’s working.
A Mid-Range Phone That Doesn’t Look Cheap
First impressions? The Moto G96 5G doesn’t look like your typical budget phone. Motorola has added some flair this time.
It comes in some eye-catching Pantone-validated colors — names like Ashleigh Blue, Greener Pastures, and Dresden Blue sound fancy, but they actually look pretty cool too.
You’re getting a curved pOLED display, a proper premium touch. Plus, the back panel has this vegan leather texture, so it doesn’t turn into a fingerprint magnet the second you touch it.
And get this – it’s rated IP68, meaning it can handle dust and even a quick dunk in water. Not something you usually see at this price.
Smooth, Bright, and Curved Display
The Motorola G96 5G smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with a sleek design.
Motorola even added Gorilla Glass 5 protection and some eye-comfort tricks to reduce strain. Oh, and it works with wet fingers too — handy during the monsoon.
Performance That Holds Up
Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It’s not a powerhouse, but for everyday use — scrolling, apps, light gaming — it’ll easily keep up.
The 5,500mAh battery sounds promising too, along with 68W fast charging, which should get you from 0 to 100% in under an hour.
Cameras That Keep It Simple
Motorola G96 5G comes with a dual rear camera with a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP macro lens for close-up shots. On the front, the phone features a 32MP selfie camera, tucked neatly in a punch-hole cutout.
Overall, it’s a good phone which is expected to launch at around 20,000 Rupees. But many users would find it confusing as Motorola has already some smartphones in this price range.
