Lava has expanded its 5G smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Lava Play Ultra 5G. The device brings a premium display, capable hardware, and a large battery at a budget-friendly price. It comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and runs Android 15 out of the box.
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits peak brightness. Lava claims the screen also offers 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, making it suitable for vibrant content viewing and gaming.
Lava Play Ultra 5G Price in India and Availability
The Lava Play Ultra 5G price in India starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The higher 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at Rs. 16,499.
The smartphone will be available in Arctic Frost and Arctic Slate colour options. It goes on sale via Amazon starting August 25.
As part of launch offers, customers can purchase the 6GB and 8GB variants at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 15,499, respectively, with an instant discount of Rs. 1,000 on ICICI, SBI, and HDFC bank cards.
Lava Play Ultra 5G Specifications and Features
Under the hood, the handset runs on a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. Lava has promised two major Android updates and three years of security patches, ensuring better software support.
For optics, the Lava Play Ultra 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor and a 5-megapixel macro lens.
On the front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Camera features include Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Beauty, Panorama, Pro Mode, Macro, AR Stickers, Slow Motion, and Time Lapse.
The Lava Play Ultra 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The company claims the battery can charge fully in 83 minutes and delivers up to 45 hours of talk time or 510 hours of standby.
The phone also features stereo speakers for enhanced audio and comes with IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and OTG support.
